The most awaited Smartphone of the year iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were finally announced on 9 September in an Apple event. Both smartphone will be available for preorder in US, UK, Japan, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, Germany, France, Australia, Singapore and Canada from Friday 12th September while the sale will start on 19 September.
Both of the iPhones are expected to hit India stores on October 17 that is just ahead of the Indian season. Both iPhones comes with a very big screen, iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7 inch screen while the iPhone 6 Plus comes with 5.5 inch screen.
Both of these smartphones will come with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage capacity. Interestingly Apple has dropped 32GB variant. Both devices will come in Space Gray, Silver and Gold colors.
Iphone 6 with 4.7 inch screen will priced $199, $299 and $399 for 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models respectively. While the iPhone 6 Plus with 5.5 inch screen will cost $299, $399 and $499 for 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models respectively.
Display of Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 Plus
The iPhone 6 sports an HD 4.7 inch LED backlit IPS LCD Retina display with a resolution of 750x1334 pixels (326 ppi). The display is a laminated single piece design with a shatter-proof glass and treated with an oleophobic coating. The iPhone 6 Plus also features the same glass protection, but features a full HD 5.5 inch LED backlit IPS LCD Retina display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels.
Power of Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 plus
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, both comes with the Apple A8 chipset, which features a dual-core 1.4GHz Cyclone processor. While the iPhone 6 comes with just 1GB of RAM, the iPhone Plus has been provided with 2GB of RAM . The graphics processor, mainly responsible forthe fluid operating system user interface and graphics, the powerVR GX6650 (hexa-core graphics) has been included.
Storage of Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 plus
The internal storage on both the smartphone are available in three variants – 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. It seems like Apple has done away with the 32GB option and made a gap for the budget series and premiums series. Unfortunately, we can’t expand the storage.
Camera of Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 plus
Moving on the iPhone 6 devices feature an 8MP camera on the front. Apple has retained the 8MP cameras from the older iPhone 5 series, but claims that the sensor is different and the software along with the new sensor can take better pictures than their predecessors.
Connectivity of Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 plus
The connectivity options on both are identical – 3G, 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and GLONASS. Sensors provided on both handsets are accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer.

Operating System Version
The Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will run on Apple’s brand new operating system, the iOS 8. Apple has also announced that the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c will also receive the iOS 8 update shortly.
Price of Iphone 6 and Iphone 6 plus
The of iPhone 6 will priced in India Rs.39,365 (16GB), Rs. 45,434 (64GB), Rs. 51,500 (128GB) and Rs.45,434(16GB), Rs. 51,500 (64GB), Rs. 57,565 (128GB) for the iPhone 6 Plus accordingly.
